"I love love love their seasonal strawberry matcha! Wish they had it year round. It's the absolute best in St. Louis and I've tried quite a few. Coma is also just such a good coffee shop to sit and work, or to catch up with someone. They have many different seating options, and although inconspicuous from the outside, is very cute and bright on the inside. Don't miss out their second floor, the stairs are near the entrance when you walk in."

"This place is a hidden gem! We’ve eaten here and had coffee here several times and each time it almost gets better! They have a small menu, with some seasonal items, but each thing I’ve had is absolutely delicious! The way they perfectly blend simple flavors, both in their food and their latte flavors, is nothing short of magical. Today I had the almond croissant and it is the perfect combination of buttery, nutty, flaky, and decadent; I got my 12 year old the pumpkin snickerdoodle and he actually said “mmm so soft and crispy with just the right amount of cinnamon.” Oh and the autumn flight was everything I hoped it would be! Stout, sweet, seasoned, perfectly balanced. If you’re ever near Clayton/Richmond Heights do not miss your opportunity to try Coma Coffee!"

"Coma Coffee has a fantastic atmosphere and is a great place to relax, work, or catch up with friends. The space is welcoming, modern, and comfortable, making it easy to spend time there. I ordered a matcha and avocado toast, and both were delicious. The matcha was well-prepared and flavorful, while the avocado toast was fresh, satisfying, and beautifully presented. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is the wait time for food. While the quality was excellent, it took longer than expected to receive my order. If the service were a bit faster, this would easily be a 5-star experience. Overall, a great coffee shop with excellent food, drinks, and ambiance that I’ll happily visit again."

"Here's a guy who doesn't drink coffee writing a review about a coffee place. Given that I'm not in to their "main event" I would have a hard time giving them the full five stars. That said, of the four things I was able to try on a recent visit I had the following thoughts: Avocado toast - absolutely the best bite I had. I loved the simplicity of this dish! Toast, avocado coarsely mashed with salt & pepper, some micro greens, crumbled goat cheese and a drizzle of honey. It was simultaneously sweet and savory plus crunchy and creamy. I wish I hadn't agreed to split it with Kid 2. Apple and cream cheese toast was a close second. The apples were cooked until soft but retained just the right amount of firmness. Pumpkin bread was another yum. I liked the slight saltiness and the firm but moist bread. This is one that would benefit from being served warm. It may be available that way but it wasn't offered. Coffee cake muffin fell short when compared to everything else but probably was just overshadowed. I wouldn't characterize myself as part of the toast trend but I sure did love the avocado toast! I also appreciated the very generous discount they offered to people who brought gifts in for the donation event that lead to my first visit. Given that they are open 7-4 on weekdays and have WiFi available I am likely to be back to get some work done while having a snack one of these days."

"3rd strike unfortunately. I was waiting hoping my first few experiences were just bad days but it's a theme for this location. Food takes forever, it's good if it actually warm, and made correctly. This visit similar to previous ones, place was not busy, a few tables a few people in line. 30min wait for food, for it to be wrong. Their reply was, we got busy, which just means they can't do their jobs when the work isn't easy. Our order was correct on the ticket, but she admitted to not making it correct, even though the additional ticket in her hand was correct, so basically not paying attention. Took 10 more minutes for them fix, but all our food was cold by then, even the fires. So they literally took the food in the back, didn't keep it warm, adjusted it for 10mns then brought it back in Togo boxes cold. I should have sent back again or just got a refund but this one s a work lunch, who has time to deal with all this? Won't be back The people are nice, just don't have what it takes for food service."
